My Approach to Commercial Photography and What to Expect

Some Background Information about Me

I grew up on the eastern slopes of the Wind River Mountains in a little town called Lander, WY. Lander is home to a powerhouse climbing community with a rich history, the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), and near bottomless access to trails for outdoor enthusiasts. On top of all this, the ever-present farms and ranches brought their own sports to the small community. In Lander, Vibram-soled approach shoes stood side-by-side with cowboy boots at the park, at the rodeo, and at the bar.

This was the culture I grew up in — a culture that has shaped my values and my artistic perspective on the meaning of community.

Community — and Your Business

Community is an intricate puzzle impacted by unique individuals, companies, and groups. These puzzle pieces form the communities we enjoy and treasure. Your business is either a product of the culture or has the capacity to influence that culture. I can’t paint the picture of my hometown without including the cowboy boots, even though I’m the furtherest thing from a cowboy. Similarly, I can’t capture your company’s story without those special components that your customers love.

This is what I hope to capture in my photography. YOUR customers enjoying YOUR space and products in a way only YOU can provide. I want to tell your story — which includes your customers unique relationship to your company.

It’s a big goal but I think together we can pull it off.

Here’s My System and What to Expect

Step One — Schedule a Free Consultation

If you like my work and my philosophy behind commercial photography, fill out my consultation contact form. We can schedule a time where I can hear more about your ideas, your company, and how you envision these photos to be used. The more info the better.

Step Two — Consultation

At the consultation we can dig into the details and explore the project closer. Most importantly, we can dial in your key deliverables — your money shots. This way we can get a clear creative direction for your commercial photography project. The last step of the consultation is agreeing on a pricing package that works best for you.

Step Three — Photo Shoot

This is the fun part. We get to execute our plan and explore the elements that make your company special.

Gallery Delivery

Your favorite part! After our shoot I get started immediately on edits so you get what you paid for as quickly as possible. I upload the photos as JPG files to a private online gallery service and share the link so you can browse and download at your leisure.
