My Approach to Commercial Photography and What to Expect

Some Background Information about Me

I grew up on the eastern slopes of the Wind River Mountains in a little town called Lander, WY. Lander is home to a powerhouse climbing community with a rich history, the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), and near bottomless access to trails for outdoor enthusiasts. On top of all this, the ever-present farms and ranches brought their own sports to the small community. In Lander, Vibram-soled approach shoes stood side-by-side with cowboy boots at the park, at the rodeo, and at the bar.

This was the culture I grew up in — a culture that has shaped my values and my artistic perspective on the meaning of community.

Community — and Your Business

Community is an intricate puzzle impacted by unique individuals, companies, and groups. These puzzle pieces form the communities we enjoy and treasure. Your business — even if it’s brand new — is either a product of the culture or has the capacity to influence that culture. I can’t paint the picture of my hometown without including the cowboy boots, even though I’m the furtherest thing from a cowboy. Similarly, I can’t capture your company’s story without those special components that your customers love.

This is what I hope to capture in my photography. YOUR customers enjoying YOUR space and products in a way only YOU can provide. I want to tell your story — which includes your customers unique relationship to your company.

It’s a big goal but I think together we can pull it off.

Here’s My System and What to Expect

Step One — Contact me with your project

If you like my work and my philosophy behind commercial photography, fill out my contact form or send me an email. Tell me what ideas you have in mind and how you envision these photos to be used. The more info the better.

Step Two — Consultation

After I receive your email I’ll get started on some brainstorming before we schedule a consultation call. During this consultation we can explore the project closer and dial in your key deliverables — your money shots. At this point we will schedule the photo shoot and agree on pricing.

Step Three — Photo Shoot

This is the fun part. We get to execute our plan and explore the elements that make your company special.

Gallery Delivery

Your favorite part! After our shoot I get started immediately on edits so you get what you paid for as quickly as possible. I upload the photos as JPG files to GoogleDrive and share the link so you can browse and download at your leisure. I can also accommodate other deliverables as needed; such as prints, hard drives, and different file types.
